The Gods

Meet the powerful gods of ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and the Norse world.

Some command thunder, oceans or sunshine, while others watch over wisdom, love, farming, magic and the dead. They can be brave, clever and helpful, but they can also be jealous, stubborn and spectacularly bad at avoiding arguments. Each culture imagined its gods differently, even when they had similar powers or responsibilities. Discover their symbols, meet their families and follow their strangest adventures. Just remember: having magical powers does not always mean making sensible decisions. In mythology, even the mightiest gods can make a truly enormous mess.

Fun fact: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are named after the Norse gods Odin, Thor and Frigg.
