Title

Monsters

Monsters are the creatures that make mythology exciting, frightening and wonderfully strange.

Some hide inside mazes, guard treasure or wait beneath the sea, while others have snakes for hair, several heads or enough size to wrap around the world. They are often the enemies heroes must defeat, but monsters are not always simply evil. Some protect important places, punish broken rules or have sad stories of their own. Meet beasts from Greece, Rome, Egypt and the Norse world, discover their very unusual powers and decide which one is scariest. Perhaps avoid looking directly at Medusa while you are choosing carefully.

Fun fact: The word “monster” comes from the Latin monstrum, meaning a strange sign or warning.
