The Greek Alphabet

Meet the 24 letters still used today.

The Greeks adapted their alphabet from Phoenician writing more than 2,700 years ago. It was one of the first alphabets to write vowels clearly. Greek is still spoken and written today, and its letters are also used in science and maths.

Fun fact: Alpha+Beta=Alphabet
